The most common false excuse people use, not to exercise is to say that working out makes them even more tired. If anything, exercising will up your energy levels and increase your endurance level. Of course while you exercise you will feel physically tired and exhausted at some point however this is not the same as being low energy all day long or always tired. It's perfectly normal to feel fatigued after working out and exhausting your muscles completely.
This feeling of fatigue will subside within an hour if not less. The increased level of energy that follows this recovery time is what we are talking about when we say that exercising gives you more energy. The more consistent you are with your visits to the health club, the more stabile your level of energy will be during the rest of your day.
If you are not physically active, your body becomes lethargic and you feel like you want to sleep all the time. Maybe you have heard the expression, doing nothing makes you tired. This is true if you are use to working out or being physically active, not getting the endorphins elevated like during a workout will make you sleepy and less energetic. When you first start to exercise, you will feel tired only because your body is adjusting to a change and a new routine of being active and recover in between. Eventually, your body will recover faster and faster after a workout and your energy will pick up automatically. The same thing happens if you take a break for whatever reason from your exercise routine. Once you start back again, it will take you a week or two of steady workout sessions to get your energy levels back up to where they use to be.
Our peak energy time of the day is as individual as you are. We are all different when it comes to having more energy in the morning or in the evening. You have to experience a little with what works for you when it comes to picking a workout time where your energy levels are higher. There is no time that is better then another as far as working out. Some research shows that pain threshold is higher later in the day and we would therefore be able to work out harder during these hours. Other studies point at the fact that we have more energy in the morning before working a full day, which could possibly be true but is relative to your personal lifestyle and work schedule as well. If you work at night, your highest energy point of the day would most likely be in the evening before you go to work that once again proves that there is no right or wrong time of the day for you to work out at.
Sometimes life gets so hectic that we don't have the choice but rather squeeze the workout in whenever we can, not to miss the opportunity to exercise.
However you go about it is up to you but working out and staying active will give you more energy and keep your energy levels higher throughout the day either way!
Working out more won't necessarily give you more energy. The exercise in itself is important but without the recovering part you won't ripe any results or any increased energy. The more you exercise the more you need to pay attention to how much sleep and rest your body gets in between workouts. This is the phase when your body gets stronger and gets itself ready for the next workout session so make sure you get an adequate amount of quality sleep at night.
